At Natural Movement Solutions we have a unique, multidisciplinary approach to overall health and exercise programming. Our goal is to teach you how to take your health and your exercise program into your own hands. Our mission is to empower and enlighten our clients through inspiration and education. Our integrated approach to health and performance encompasses nutrition and lifestyle coaching, high performance training, sport specific training, post rehabilitation, posture correction, spinal rehabilitation and comprehensive exercise programming.

Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching

We use a set of questionnaires to identify roadblocks that many individuals face on their quest to better health. There are many components to health that are overlooked by the fitness industry today. These include sleep patterns, digestion, detoxification, stress, what you are eating and when you are eating. If you are not achieving the goals you desire through your exercise program then these are usually the hindering factors. Addressing these factors through lifestyle changes plays a major role in addressing the root of the problem.

Corrective/Rehabilitative Exercise, Sports Performance and Personal Training

We base our exercises and exercise programs on the training and teachings of Dr. Guy Voyer. Soma Practitioners are widely-recognized as some of the finest and most knowledgable exercise therapists in the world! Our approach can assist you to overcome the following conditions:

Postural and Orthopedic Assessments

Paul Chek is well known for saying, “if you’re not assessing, you’re guessing!”
Every client begins with a thorough full body evaluation that consists of:

  • Postural Analysis
  • Measure of Spinal Curvatures
  • Spinal Mobiliy
  • Pelvic Tilt
  • Range of Motion Testing
  • Core Function Assessment
  • Functional Movement Analysis

Body Fat and Circumference Measurements

Body composition statistics and circumference measurements are taken on an as-needed basis and provide information regarding the status of the overall health of the client. They also provide objective physiologic measurements that can be a motivational starting point. We use skin fold calipers to measure body fat and take measurements from 4 different sites on the body. Circumference measurements are done with a tape measure and measurements are taken from 7 different sites. Waist to hip ratio and BMI are included.

Program Design

After performing a comprehensive assessment we will design a personalized exercise program tailored exactly to your needs, goals and time commitment. This includes corrective stretches, corrective exercises and workouts that pertain to your wellness goals and your work or sports environment.

The only way to achieve better health is to learn how to do health. You must learn, and then apply! Our mission is to teach you the key principles that are required to be healthy, then inspire and motivate you to apply these principles.
